How to print a wallet size photo

  1. Add your photo. The frame is set to the common wallet size, 2.5 × 3.5 in, and follows your photo's orientation.
  2. Fill the sheet. As many as fit is selected: six wallet photos fit on Letter and eight on A4 inside the safety margins. To adjust the crop, choose 1 copy, centered, drag the photo, then switch back.
  3. Print, then cut. Print at 100% and trim along the crop marks with a ruler and a sharp blade for straight edges.

Which size is a wallet photo?

The most common wallet size is 2.5 × 3.5 inches. Some labs sell 2 × 3 inch wallets. Type your exact size in the dimension fields if you need a different one.

Resolution for small prints

About 750 × 1050 pixels gives a sharp wallet print at 300 PPI. Almost any modern photo has enough detail.

Can I print several wallet photos on one sheet?

Yes. Six copies of the same photo fit on a Letter sheet and eight on A4, with crop marks. Classic 8-up wallet sheets need borderless printing, which most home printers cannot do reliably.

Is this for passport or ID photos?

No. Official photos have strict rules for size, head position and background. Use a dedicated passport photo service for those.

PHOTO PRINT SIZES

Common photo print sizes and the pixels you need

Around 300 pixels per inch (PPI) gives sharp detail for photos viewed up close. 150 PPI is a practical minimum for casual prints. Every size below fits on US Letter and A4 paper with PrintScaling.

Printing at actual size: common questions

How do I print a 4 × 6 photo on US Letter paper?

Upload your photo, choose the 4 × 6 in preset, and select US Letter paper. Use Fit entire image to preserve the whole photo, or Fill and crop to fill the frame. Download the PDF and print it at Actual size or 100%, with Fit to page turned off.

Can I set an image size in centimeters or millimeters?

Yes. Select cm or mm in Image dimensions, then enter the printed width and height. The PDF uses these physical dimensions. Your printer settings must still use 100% scale, and the image must fit inside the selected sheet margins.

Why does the image look a different size on screen?

The preview is scaled to fit your screen. The PDF contains the actual physical dimensions. To preserve them, print at 100% with all scaling turned off in your PDF viewer and printer settings.

Will my image look sharp?

The resolution indicator estimates pixels per inch at your chosen print size. Around 300 PPI is a useful target for detailed photos. Lower-resolution images may look softer. Exporting a PDF does not add missing detail.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Your image and PDF are processed locally in this browser. This tool uses no accounts, upload service, or external image processing.

Can I print several copies on one sheet?

Yes. In step 03, choose As many as fit under Copies on the sheet. The tool fills the page with copies of the same photo at the exact size, turns them 90° when that fits more, and adds crop marks between them. See how many copies fit for common sizes.

Can I print larger than one sheet?

This first version places one image on US Letter or A4 paper with at least 10 mm (about 0.4 in) of margin. Oversized images are flagged. Multi-page poster printing is not included yet.
