How to print a 4×4 square photo

  1. Add your photo. The frame is set to a 4 × 4 in square.
  2. Pick the square. If your photo is not square, Fill and crop keeps the square shape. Drag the photo to choose which part stays.
  3. Print and trim. Print at Actual size and cut along the crop marks.

Printing Instagram photos

Instagram square posts are usually 1080 × 1080 pixels. That gives about 270 PPI at 4 × 4 in, which prints sharp. Larger squares such as 5 × 5 in will look softer.

Other square sizes

Type any square size in the dimension fields, for example 5 × 5 in or 12 × 12 cm. Keep the lock closed to stay square.

What is 4×4 inches in cm?

4 × 4 inches is 10.16 × 10.16 cm.

Can I keep the whole photo without cropping?

Yes. Choose Fit entire image. The full photo stays visible, with white space inside the square if the photo is not square.

PHOTO PRINT SIZES

Common photo print sizes and the pixels you need

Around 300 pixels per inch (PPI) gives sharp detail for photos viewed up close. 150 PPI is a practical minimum for casual prints. Every size below fits on US Letter and A4 paper with PrintScaling.

Printing at actual size: common questions

How do I print a 4 × 6 photo on US Letter paper?

Upload your photo, choose the 4 × 6 in preset, and select US Letter paper. Use Fit entire image to preserve the whole photo, or Fill and crop to fill the frame. Download the PDF and print it at Actual size or 100%, with Fit to page turned off.

Can I set an image size in centimeters or millimeters?

Yes. Select cm or mm in Image dimensions, then enter the printed width and height. The PDF uses these physical dimensions. Your printer settings must still use 100% scale, and the image must fit inside the selected sheet margins.

Why does the image look a different size on screen?

The preview is scaled to fit your screen. The PDF contains the actual physical dimensions. To preserve them, print at 100% with all scaling turned off in your PDF viewer and printer settings.

Will my image look sharp?

The resolution indicator estimates pixels per inch at your chosen print size. Around 300 PPI is a useful target for detailed photos. Lower-resolution images may look softer. Exporting a PDF does not add missing detail.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Your image and PDF are processed locally in this browser. This tool uses no accounts, upload service, or external image processing.

Can I print several copies on one sheet?

Yes. In step 03, choose As many as fit under Copies on the sheet. The tool fills the page with copies of the same photo at the exact size, turns them 90° when that fits more, and adds crop marks between them. See how many copies fit for common sizes.

Can I print larger than one sheet?

This first version places one image on US Letter or A4 paper with at least 10 mm (about 0.4 in) of margin. Oversized images are flagged. Multi-page poster printing is not included yet.
